Ugandan government attributes Women killings to Illuminati

The hence to factious Illuminati sect that has been just an urban talk to refer to unexplainable riches by young men in Kampala city has now been cited by Government as the movement behind the murders of the over twenty women in Uganda which have occurred recently.

Appearing before Parliament this afternoon, the Internal Affairs minister, Gen Jeje Odongo, attributed the recent killings of women in Nansana and Entebbe municipalities in Wakiso district to illuminati.

Illuminati refers to people claiming to possess special enlightenment or knowledge of something, the sect is central to some of the most widely known and elaborate conspiracy theories, the Illuminati have been depicted as lurking in the shadows and pulling the strings and levers of power in dozens of novels, films, television shows, comics, video games, and music videos.

In his preliminary statement on the killings given to parliament tiday, the Minister on behalf of the executive said that the 21 women had been killed with the assailants mainly by manual strangulation and mutilation.

He attributed the killings to moral decadence, primitive selfishness, drug abuse, alcohol, prostitution and superstition.

The Prime Minister, Ruhakana Rugunda, concurred with a statement given by minister, adding that “We can’t dismiss witchcraft because it still characterises our society and stresses the need to transform.”

The opposition however dismissed the Government the statement with shadow Minister for foreign affairs Jack Wamai advising that “You Mr. Minister (Jeje Odongo) should tender in your resignation because you have failed to protect Ugandans”.

The leader if opposition,Winnie Kiiza said that “The statement says ‘illuminati’. How do we even charge these people? If government has failed they should pack up. Two women were killed in Mumbere’s palace and had sticks pushed inside their private parts. This was not witchcraft, it was UPDF. For a country moving to middle income, it’s sad that “we” attribute crime to witchcraft, for God and my Country.”
