Show you're against removing age limit by voting out NRM; Nambooze tells Kyotera

Disgusted residents of Kyotera and Democratic Party supporters have been argued to show their resistance against Museveni and NRM by voting DP candidates and throwing out all NRM candidates.

“This is like a referendum, on Thursday you are voting to remove or not to remove Museveni’s age limit”  Nambooze said.

On Thursday, voters in Kyotera district go to the polls to elect their woman Member of Parliament, LC V Chairperson and the Kirumba and Nangoma sub county LC V councilors.

Those contesting for the woman MP seat include Robinah Ssentongo, the Democratic Party candidate, Rachael Nakitende NRM, Philistia Nakato Nassal, FDC and Independents Cissy Nantongo and Joweria Namugera Makalayi.

Those vying for the LC V chair are Patrick Kintu Kisekulo NRM DP’s Tom Darlington Balojja and Charles Lubega Zziridamu an independent.

Another independent Anthony Mugerwa dropped out of the race in favor of a fellow Independent after accusing Kasolo of grabbing the NRM card for Kisekulo who is Rwandan like Kasolo.

On Tuesday, all candidates conducted a series of their final campaign rallies. However, the DP campaign rally in Kalisizo town council was more lively as Kyotera district people gathered in thousands to have a glimpse at Nambooze, the Buganda region president.

Police officers who tried to stop the rally were shouted off by people who longed to listen to Nambooze who talked after DP president Mao

Defiant Nambooze who camped in Kyotera since Sunday said she can’t be deterred by police as she seeks sanity for all Ugandans including them. She promised to camp in Kyotera throughout the campaigns until she carries DP candidates to victory.

She asked Kyotera people to make a loud statement as she likened the vote to choosing between age limit removal or not.

“This is a referendum, on Thursday you are voting to remove or not to remove Museveni’s age limit” She told members to show their resilience by voting DP members.

DP candidates in the race were strongly boosted by Nambooze and her Mukono team’s presence and candidates in all posts are in the lead
