Leave or we push you out- Raila tells IEBC boss Chebukati

NASA leader Raila Odinga has re-affirmed that his camp is not ready to go back to polls conducted by the current IEBC

Raila, made the remarks while addressing opposition supporters in Kibera on Tuesday, afternoon where he warned that his team will flush out the IEBC officials for new ones if need be.

The address was parallel  to President Uhuru Kenyatta’s parliamentary sitting held at the same time.

He cautioned of the repeat of ‘computer generated’ elections in the rescheduled October 17 elections if handled by the same officials who were involved in malpractices that  led to the nullification of the presidential polls.

“We are saying we are not ready to go back to an election with those thieves. We have put in place strict rules and we will not allow those officials to oversee another election,” Raila declared.

Prior, the IEBC chair Wafula Chebukati had announced that his team had patched the loose ends after reports of a looming fallout and IEBC officials had resolved to conduct a free, fair and credible election in the next 34 days which NASA leader Raila is not convinced with

“They now claim IEBC are now United to do the elections. We are saying we are not ready for those thieves again,” He warned.

Earlier in the day, IEBC was to hold an important meeting with Jubilee candidate Uhuru Kenyatta and National Super Alliance (NASA) candidate Raila Odinga on Tuesday, September 12 at its offices at Anniversary Towers which flopped as NASA leaders walked away.
