AGE LIMIT: Kampala riots as Besigye is arrested by Museveni's police


Former Presidential candidate for FDC party Rtd Dr Col Kizza Besigye has been arrested by police in Kampala amidst Kogikwatako demonstrations.


Besigye, who beat police that was deployed at his home in Kasangati since Monday was picked by police from min price in Kampala with hundreds of Ugandans who were protesting the amendment of Constitution and removal of age limit which will allow President Museveni to stand in 2021 after clocking 75 years of age.


Besigye entered his car, locked himself and refused to get out when police stormed mini price where he was.


Police brought its break down and towed his car up to Central police parking yard where Journalists were blocked to enter.


He was later forced out of his car put into a police van and whisked away


In a related development, police has arrested several people in and around Kampala who were involved in demonstration and are held in different stations.


Students of Makerere and Kyambogo Universities, Mukono municipality council, opposition activists and others picked from different areas of Kampala are imprisoned for their opinion.
