We are not part of your good DP; Nambooze responds to Mao's redundant 'sacking' of Lukwago

Though away in Rome, I have learnt of a redundant statement issued by Norbert Mao to the effect that Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago is expelled from DP. For this I would have no regrets hunting Mao down Kyumakyayesu style if I was in Kampala

What for a man who is out with all his being to distract forces of change at a time when we more than ever need to be together? Surely Museveni is at his weakest but the opposition is yet to utilise this opportunity because of self centred leaders like Mao.

But even in-house,surely for a Party that hasn’t won a single by election, why choose a time when we have to be consolidating the opportunity to propel DP’s Musoke to victory in Lukwago’s home district of Kalungu and those of our other two candidates in the new district of Kyotera in the greater Masaka who need us all to win to make statements of no consequence?

Now that I am in the Vatican, I will entreat the holy spirit to prevail and move Mao not to distract the opposition by his redundant pronouncements about Lukwago just in case he (Mao) is not working for the enemy.

If Mao believes in at least in 1% of what he professes on frontline, 0.5% of the DP constitution or 0.1% of the so called Togikwatako campaign then there is no reason he would antagonise Lukwago and by extension many of us at this time.

For the importance of the current political debate in the country, we chose to let Mr.Mao continue with the mourning period he declared for the Late MATHIAS NSUBUGA instead of convening the DP National Council to elect the Secretary General and Party Chairman. Mao too should be aware that our term as NEC expired but we allowed him to carry on with the feigning of ignorance about the provisions of the Party Constitution and continue “leading” (misleading) the party with a few cohorts akin to what Kabila of Congo did when he organised no election when one was due.

It seems my brother Mao is shamelessly bent on leaving a legacy for which he will be remembered in history for having killed DP.

Mr. Mao Sir, it is true that you are the first party president to get groceries from DP but surely there is a better way to do it.

In summary, MAO STOP DIVERTING US….WE HAVE NEVER BEEN MEMBERS OF YOUR “GOOD DP ” SO YOU CAN’T PURPORT TO DISMISS or EXPEL ANYBODY…..WE SHALL LIBERATE DP AND RESTORE THE CONSTITUTIONAL ORDER IN THE PARTY BUT FOR NOW THAT IS NOT THE PRIORITY for sure it would be foolhardily for family members to continue quelling over some family matters when the very existence of their clan is under threat.
