MP in court over academic papers

Musisi Robert, a former contestant for Ntwetwe Constituency in Kyankwanzi district has dragged area MP Ssebikaali Yoweri Joel and Electoral commission to Mubende High Court for being illegally nominated and elected as the area legislator.
He revealed that Ssebikaali was did not have the requisite academic requirements because he flatly failed the Uganda advanced level of education.
Musisi through his lawyers of M/s Kwesigabo, Bamwine and Walubiri advocates want MP Ssebikaali has been given 10 days to file his defence.
The Spear News couldn’t reach MP Ssebikaali for a comment since all his telephone numbers indicated in the parliamentary directory were off.
Musisi who filed the suit on August 16, argues that the MP sat his UACE at Aga Khan High School in Kampala as Ssebikaali Yoweri, under index no.U0001 596 and he only managed to score one point.
Ssebikaali’s results indicate that he only got a subsidiary point in General paper, mathematics scored F, Physics F, Chemistry F and Biology F.
He adds that with such results there is no way Ssebikaali could be admitted in Medical lab training in Jinja for a diploma, asking court to look into this matter urgent.
