Kadaga flies UPDF chopper to cranes rugby game, Uganda looses



  • An internationally broadcast TV match was delayed as a military helicopter landed into the pitch.

Speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga made a rare stint when she flew into a UPDF helicopter to Lugogo Kampala to watch Uganda rugby team game against Namibia in an International Rugby encounter


The military chopper arrived minutes to start and hovered over the pitch as spectators surged back and fouth wondering what was happening. It slowly eased down onto the pitch and landed successfully.


Players and officials swarmed the chopper waiting for the occupants to disembark.


Kadaga stepped out in yellow gomesi. She was escorted by UPDF soldiers to the guest of honour sit where she sat as Uganda lost 24-48 to Namibia.
