Dr Stella Nyanzi vows to push on with activism as MUK summons her


Her opinion is expressed in her own words:
I wonder how my interaction with the tribunal at Makerere University will go later today. There has been neither justice nor fairness in all my previous hearings at the university.
Consequently, I lost my confidence in the hollow systems of conflict resolution at this university because they work in the service of oppressive power. But perhaps this tribunal will surprise me! Perhaps…
Whatever happens today, my plan is to defend my right to criticise oppressors at the university, in society and in the state – whether using the media of nudity, diction, placards, petitions, drama, sit-down strikes, social media or whatever else.
