A LESSON TO AFRICAN DICTATORS;
Uganda Ibada 19th May 1905:
Horny Harry George Galt was a British colonial officer, who had information about a juicy woman known as Kyibubura in Ibanda western Uganda. Galt was salivating at just a thought of romancing and making love to a woman he had never met in life.
After having a sweet thing with a mutooro woman called Kyebambe, Galt expected to explore heaven with a Munyankole woman Kyibubura.
On his fateful day, Galt the newly appointed provincial officer based in FortPatal, forced the local people to carry him on their head at a break neck speed from Fort Portal to Ibanda to go and meet his would be darling.
When the people got tired on way and requested him to let them rest, he insistedly refused and ordered them to march on until they reach Ibanda- paka banda (he said in broken rutooro) all in hopes of meeting his so called sweetheart Kyibubura.
After days of suffering carrying Galt on their heads/shoulders, the locals finally reached Ibanda.
As soon as they reached, Galt went straight to meet Kyibubura and started making love to her!
The locals were disappointed, they had previously thought that Galt was coming to Ibanda for some official duties, when they discovered that he had exploited them just for sex, each one of them picked a huge stone and in big mob murdered Galt!
The killer stones piled up making a pyramid-like feature 5 Metres in length and 3 metres in height which stands there up to now (2017) in Galt’s foolish memory.
The story of Galt shall always be told by the locals as one of hilarious moves of leaders taking their subjects for granted!
Galt is today referred to as Goat in Ibanda!
