Kyadondo race: A resounding lesson to opposition parties

My honest prediction for Kyadondo east is that, SITENDA SEBALU shall win the election.

I can’t see a divided opposition comprising of independent FDC leaning COUNSEL MUWADA NKUNYINGI, independent DP leaning KYAGULANYI ROBERT SENTAMU aka Bobi Wine and HON APOLLO KATINTI FDC trouncing NRM’s SITENDA SEBALU even after applying the simplest calculation.

NRM is well known in bribing voters, ballot stuffing coupled with intimidation of voters with assistance of security agencies like police and kakooza mutale. The above is worsened by the fact that, NRM has only ITS VERY OWN SITENDA SEBALU without any known NRM independent leaning contesting in this election which automatically leaves NRM on top.

The fact of NJUBA family denouncing SITENDA SEBALU in this election is very minimal since the late SAM KALEGA NJUBA who previously represented the area was a known opposition cader and his daughter who contested in 2016 in NRM primaries miserably lost.

I can without any doubt predict that, we are going to witness a scenario similar to that of BUSIRO SOUTH where a weaker NRM PETER SEMATIMBA was declared a winner as a result of DP, FDC and a stronger independent SIMON KAGWA NJALA contesting at the same time.

Am only happy that, after the opposition losing Kyadondo East, it shall be a great opportunity for them to prepare for 2021 elections. We shall then start witnessing different opposition parties presenting their respective candidates to the joint screening board yet to be established and to the inter party internal primaries before the next elections.

Am so sorry that the PEOPLE’S PRESIDENT is going to be represented in parliament by NRM’S SITENDA SEBALU.
