Kenyan pastor hacked to death in Juba
A Kenyan cleric has been murdered by yet to be known assailants at a church in Munuki, a suburb in South Sudan’s capital Juba police said.
Bishop Joel Mwendwa according to South Sudans police spokesperson Brigadier Daniel Justin, was hacked to death Friday morning at a church he was serving named the Christ Ministry Munuki
Several suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder the police officer said.
“We went to the place of the incident and some of the suspects have been arrested,” he told a local radio station.
“What we understand is that he was killed using a panga [machete], but we are waiting for a medical report.”
He said investigations were ongoing and could not give any more information.
The body was taken to Juba Teaching Hospital for a post-mortem
