Barbie Itungo, the enigmatic politician behind Bobi's success
Bobi Wine routinely said “I’m not a politician” and he insisted on that statement until today when he was voted into politics.
The last person to say that was Amin as he took power in 1971. Amin did wonders in service delivery and this country conferred upon him the tittle of “the best nationalistic leader” Uganda has ever had. As for Bobi, we await the next three years.
As Kyagulanyi the non politician campaigned, in came an ever supportive enigmatic politician ever by his side. Kyagulanyi Barbie Itungo, his wife.
Throughout this period, she did not only act as a good wife behind ‘her husbands success’ but she proved a true enigmatic politician society wants.
Barbie was not just by his side as ‘flower’ or for the usual formality, but she was a real dedicated field commander who passionately supported the husbands dream with all her might.
She proved herself a leader, a confident speaker [unlike many ladies] and she appealed to all voters by her down to earth approach.
Barbie all through the campaigns she put on traditional Gomesi which symbolizes respect to culture and always put aside her celebrity status to kneel before voters.
This is exactly what Ugandan voters want and anyone who lowers herself for them wins their vote.
Her most appealing statement was:
“The first mattress Bobi Wine slept on was the small mattress I came with from compass. But he kept on promising me that when he gets money he would make me happy. He has stood by his words, trust in us with your votes banakyadondo mbegayiridde”
We should not congratulate Bobi for going to parliament, we should him for unleashing the true politician in his wife and as constituencies are being created–is it Wakiso district

When you compare him to his contemporaries like Bebe Cool, you have a lot to admire about this man that has beaten all odds and become a household name both economically, musically and politically.

Bebe cool, son of a minister, more vocally and acoustically talented, supported by the president, managed internationally, been to coke studio name it is still a tenant with practically nothing to show for his exploits yet mbu he has the most beautiful wife (well that is subjective).
So my brothers, our girl friends, lovers and wives can make or break you. Personally if a girl can’t bring any value addition into my person, character and life, I don’t waste my time.
That is why I am still single(I know someone is going to refute that).
