Museveni reveals he was a teacher 52year ago, how old is he?

President Museveni has revealed he was a ‘temporally’ teacher at Bweranyangi Girls Secondary School 52 years ago.

He made the revelation while officiating at the consecration and installation of Johnson Twinomujuni as the 4th Bishop of West Ankole Diocese on Sunday in Bweranyangi, Bushenyi district.

The controversial revelation comes at a time when many Ugandans are doubting Museveni’s true age many saying he is far older than his official age.

According to his national Id Museveni was born on 15 09 1944

Museveni’s official ID indicates he was born 1944 but says he was a teacher21years later in 1965.

The President after the ceremony communicated to Ugandans about it through a post on his social handles that went: 

Attended the consecration and installation of Johnson Twinomujuni as the 4th Bishop of West Ankole Diocese today in Bweranyangi, Bushenyi.

 

I congratulate the diocese of West Ankole for getting themselves out of chaos that has been prevailing and electing a new bishop from among themselves.

 

I was happy to learn that the christians have united this time and elected a bishop.

 

Bweranyangi Girls Secondary School where the function happened is familiar territory. In 1965, I was offered a temporary teaching job here by the headteacher, Ms Hall.

 

On the development front, the government has already identified a contractor to reconstruct the Katunguru-Ishaka road that is in terrible state.

 

I thank the archbishop for talking about improving household income. I appeal to the church leadership to establish parish based poverty eradication programmes, that can work in tandem with Operation Wealth Creation.

 

People of Bushenyi should desist from encroaching on wetlands. I have talked to the leaders here so that we find a way of restoring the ones already destroyed but no more encroachment should happen.
