Mao unveils own candidate to divide opposition votes in Kyadondo

Mao has Tuesday unveiled a DP candidate to represent the party in the Kyadondo East by-elections an act political analysts take as a ‘good DP’ move to divide opposition votes for NRM to win the highly contested race.

Lillian Namulindwa alias Kamoome was unveiled during DP’s routine Tuesday press conference in Kampala. She participated in the last elections and polled less than 3000 votes.

The SpearNews can ably reveal that Kamoome had by Monday accepted to stand down for main opposition candidate (FDCs Katinti) but an NRM inspired meeting between Mbidde, Mao and Bayiga Lulume forced her in the race with an intention of helping NRM win by dividing the opposition votes.

This rush introduction of a participatory candidate comes after DP Buganda President Nambooze revealed why DP has no candidate in Kyadondo By-elections Monday which exposed DP administrators weaknesses
