POLITICS OF COMMON SENSE: Does opposition need to fight over Kyandondo East as Bobi Wine goes for Kantinti?

Social media is showered with placards and posters of Omubanda wa Kabaka and giving him clear pass as the next Kyaddondo east legislator. This comes after court annulled Kantinti as an Mp a few days ago. The claimant NRM’s Mike Ssebalu with whom he competed in 2016 petitioned court after FDC’s Kantunti was declared winner. He said some votes had not been counted. Although this wasn’t the problem of the winner but the electoral commission, the vote still renders null and void. So Kantinti had to be thrown out of Parliament. A fresh election is under way.

But now, what’s wrong with Kantinti that deserves him to even be replaced? Is he too weak that he cannot win his opponent? While in parliament, did he do anything to slow down the will of the people? Did he join any group that is meant to destroy our struggle? Or he is a renown creeper? Is he too poor that he won’t be in position to fund his campaign? Or we doubt his loyalty to the struggle?

With the politics of common sense, I personally think that Kyaddondo east has a representative who has been illegally thrown out of parliament. Now Bobi wine is warming up, Kantinti is an obvious candidate and Nkunnyingi is already in the printery all from a single camp; against Ssebalu’s undivided NRM vote! What do you think comes next!!?

Again what is in parliament for these performing artistes!? Yes they are freedom fighters but that’s not reason enough to automatically join parliament. We have always had strong musicians who fought for freedom but joining politics has never been on their agenda. The Lucky Dunes, Chaka Chaka, Dan Mugula, all were fighters but did not join politics. Why do these ones fight for political positions!?. Some answers must certainly be answered here.

The likes of Hon. Kato Lubwama and their behavior makes me grow chicken skin. Kato Lubwama’s untimely U-turn against the struggle can’t help us wonder whether another person of same history won’t do the same. I have no issues with my man Robert Kyagulanyi but I happen to be human.

Kyaddondo has an Mp who has nothing wrong. We just need to harness all our power behind him such that we bounce him back to the parliament lest we lose the President’s constituency to NRM.

Meanwhile we can begin the arrangements to make Bobi a favourite candidate at his home constituency in Gomba where the NRM eats with chopping sticks. PERSPECTIVE.
