The Greater African Radio Manager Katushemererwe Brenda has Spoken out on her Fellow Presenter Tugaineyo Pidson who allegedly was attacked and robbed by men in uniform.

“News  circulating around Mbarara about one of our Staff who was attacked yesterday morning at 4:30am. He sustained serious injuries on the forehead and according to his narrative to me,the men who attacked him were dressed like Police Men .He said he has as always met Police men on his way and that most of them knew him so it happens that when he saw these who later attacked him,he was not scared given the police coats they wore.They without a word begun hitting him with what felt like a blunt but hard object.He says had it been sharp he would have died given the energy they were using to hit him.I was already at the station when a boda boda came to report to me the incident. Insecurity in Booma is real..Just to clear the Air and lies being spread.And to help all those making investigations.

Tugaineyo Pidson is discharged from the hospital and getting better. He sustained a black eye and we are not sure about how deep the damage on his head is. Police denies the accusations:

When Farouk Twesigye talked with the Mbarara DPC Magyezi Jaffar on phone he said “Policemen can’t do this and not everyone in our coats is a Police man NOOOO and on the issue of reporting the case and being denied by police officers because of saying that they were fellows who wanted to kill him its not true because I made a thorough research and asked People who are in charge of registering cases/ writing Statements.
