Mao agrees to Katikiiro talks with Nambooze if Mengo is ready to declare her wrong.

The DP President general Norbert Mao has welcomed the offer by Buganda Katikiiro to reconcile him with DP members opposed to his administration.
However the usual Mao has set terms to the proposed reconciliation stating that it should be able to tell Nambooze and her group that they are in the wrong and like the Acholis told Teberio Okenyi to leave Ssemogerere, the Baganda elders should also tell Nambooze to leave him(Mao).

Buganda kingdom’s Katikiiro Charles Peter Mayiga yesterday offered to help mediate in the standoff that is threatening the unity of Uganda’s oldest political party.

The party’s national executive committee recently decided to suspend its Buganda region Vice President Betty Nambooze for indiscipline for defying President General Norbert Mao.

Read:

Mayiga, who was meeting Buganda caucus MPs in Kampala, said differing views on politics, and religion are responsible for derailing development.

But even before Moa would meet  any party organs, he was out airing views and setting terms for the talks. Appearing on NBS front line, Moa said that these days he prefers to talk less about this matter that has even drawn him into a conflict with the Kabaka due to a sensational media Uganda has.

To say that you abused the Kabaka is to equate you to a man who takes a pig in the mosque, I was misunderstood“, the seemingly uncomfortable Mao said while also sending amessage that he had a hand in the Masaka police brutality. However when pressed he accepted to have sanctioned the writing of the letter to Kaihura by Blacks Siranda calling for the intervention of police.
