Nambooze rushed for medical attention at Nsambya hospital
The Buganda region DP president and Mukono municipality Member of Parliament Bakireke Betty Nambooze has this morning been rushed to Nsambya hospital for a comprehensive head and chest scan.
Nambooze was hit with a rubber bullet on the head on Sunday at Masaka where she had gone to attend a meeting organized by area Member of parliament Mathias Mpuuga.
Police commanded by DP vice chairman Mbidde Mukasa brutally dispersed the meeting and forcefully arrested her with hon Ssegona who was also hit with a rubber bullet in the thigh.
They were detained for over two hours at CPS Masaka then driven at break-neck speed and dumped at Kayabwe, where they were picked and taken to Buddo for first Aid before being taken to an unspecified medical centre in Kampala where she has been receiving treatment until last night when she returned to her home in Mukono.
Nambooze has been complaining of severe headache, chest pain and diagnosed with low blood pressure.
